Kindness Kitchen
Families need you now more than ever!
Dear friends,
The dictionary defines crisis as “a time of intense difficulty.” At the Ronald McDonald House we work to lighten the burden of pediatric families in crisis. Families are provided with a place to sleep, a hot shower, laundry facilities and most importantly, hot meals. Earlier this week, I was reminded of the significance of help during a crisis when my husband experienced emergency surgery. Through the worry, through the hours of waiting, a hot meal was the last thing on my mind. However, when we came home from the hospital, a hot meal was beautifully displayed on our kitchen counter. A friend came to our rescue and provided a home cooked meal to sustain our tired hearts. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have always told us that meals are the most important gift that we can provide. Now I understand why. At a time when our meal program has been canceled due to COVID-19, meals for our families are needed more than ever. I urge you to consider a financial gift to our meal program. The importance of your gift runs deep for families in crisis and your kindness is beyond measure. God Bless you.
