Lekeshia White with Sydney and Joyah
I delivered my twin girlsSydney and Joyah at 34 weeks. The girls were placed on oxygen and incubated. I was advised by newborn intensive care nurses that I could apply to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. I was contacted immediately and I quickly moved my things from NICU. After 8 days, Joyah was released, and the RMH provided me with a pack and play so she could stay in my guestroom with me. Accommodations were also made for my other children to stay and sleep in comfortable conditions. We enjoyed the family sitting areas to watch TV or play games. My family and I were allowed to prepare meals, and on certain nights, meals were provided. My children really enjoyed staying and I was very comforted knowing I was so close to Sydney. If it were not for RMH I would not have had a safe place for myself and my children while we waited for the babies’ release. We are truly thankful and grateful for the Ronald McDonald House.
