The Ronald McDonald House became a lifeline for Kaitlyn and Shawn Hernandez-Reason during one of the hardest chapters of their lives. Just two months into her pregnancy, Kaitlyn was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, all while preparing to welcome their son, Zander, who arrived early and needed care in the NICU. Kaitlyn found comfort and relief in the Ronald McDonald House, where warm meals, a place to rest, and heartfelt support reminded them they weren’t alone.
Because Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana values the support and trust of our donors, we adhere to the Donor Bill of Rights developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
